VLOTTE- Mobile Electric: Technical Accompanying Research

Through the demo project VLOTTE, which is funded by climate and energy funds under the context of the "Model region E-Mobility" programme, there are more electric cars on the streets of Austria than ever before.  The speedy success of this project is in the hands of both electric cars drivers and electric cars salesmen whose influence extends to the technical realisation of electric cars, the options for charging them and options of energy supply. In order to optimise future systems it is has proven to be very important in the initial stage to precisely present the findings of the model region. This moreover includes the scientific establishment of information on vehicle data, charging stations, energy distribution components.

Project Aims

  • Assessment of vehicle characteristics (fuel consumption and losses)
  • Investigation into the components of the charging process, centred on the vehicles or rather the charging stations.
  • Analysis of user behaviour in relation to parking durations and parking places.
