ElectroDrive Salzburg: Technical Accompanying Research

Synopsis

Through the demonstration project ElectroDrive Salzburg, funded by the Klima- und Energiefonds im Rahmen des Programms „Modellregion E-Mobilität“ there are more electic vehicles on the streets of Austria than ever seen before! Including electric bikes, segweys and electric vehicles. This project's early success is down to the determination of both the electric vehicle users and buyers who both influence the technical realisation of the electric vehicles. This includes factors such as charging stations and energy supply. Therefore in order to optimise a future system it is always very important in the early stages to scientifically ascertain the results of the model region as well as the data of the vehicles, charging stations and energy supply components.

Project Aims

  • Limited analysis of the traffic behaviour and driving profile of electric vehicle uses in the city and surrouding area of Salzburg.
  • State of the art electric vehicles and scooters and their respective charging patterns.
  • Effects of charging equipment with regard to power quality of the local power supply network.
